In the winter of 2010 I took two months off from work and traveled through Southeast Asia and taught English in Thailand between some weekend adventures. I made a fun video before I left but I realized I never really posted many photos from my trip. So I thought it would be fun to revisit some of those photos and share them with you all. I absolutely LOVE Southeast Asia it is probably hands down my favorite place to visit and the place I suggest the most to any traveler.
I was fortunate to be able to spend a good amount of time in SEA being immersed in their culture. I lived with a Thai family for a portion of my trip that was absolutely splendid. My all time favorite thing in Thailand is the delicious cheap food it offers. I’m pretty sure I ate banana roti pancakes (what the lady below is making) and fresh squeezed juice every single day for $1. Literally, it was the best.
Of course I visited lots of temples and ate a ton of street food while I was there. I really wish the we had night markets here like they do in SEA. The crazy sculpture below was from a sculpture garden in Nongkhai called Sala Keoku.
