have you guys heard of julia kostreva? perhaps not, but i’m certain that you’ve seen her work that peach and orange notebook that i saw floating all over pinterest! ladies if you’re looking for the perfect iphone case – she’s got you covered! i was lucky enough to meet julia this summer at designer vaca – such a sweet gal and also an avid traveler too! lets see where julia’s taking us today.
where do you want to go?
I’m building a list of places I want to go in Asia – Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Korea. But, in this very moment, I am craving an escape to Venice. The water makes it feel like an island of treasures. I’ve been there once with my family, once with my sister, once with a summer love, and I’d be silly if I didn’t want to go back again just for the romance of it. The tiny alleys and hidden quarters have a million things to discover.
what do you want to eat/drink while you are there?
The jewish quarter, or the Venetian Ghetto, has a wonderful thing for pistachios – and they are amazing. Venetian pistachio cake. Baklava with pistachios instead walnuts. Pistachio gelato. Pistachios on pasta. I’d love any of these treats, especially a fudge brownie with pistachios and sea salt.
your favorite place to see and savor?
Anywhere in Italy. The flavors are so rich and heartwarming. It’s a place where everything is fresh, and life goes just slow enough to really pause and enjoy it.
