i love heirloom tomatoes and stone fruits. anytime i am dining out and those items are on the menu together i am all over it! i put together this heirloom tomato and stone fruit salad inspired by some of my favorite salads i’ve had lately. heirloom are at the peak of the season now so hurry up and go get yourself some! if you thought the summer vegetable ceviche was like summer in a bowl this dish definitely tops that. to celebrate the last month of summer whole foods has kindly offered one of YOU $50 to your neighborhood whole foods market!

HEIRLOOM TOMATO AND STONE FRUIT SALAD print this recipe!
INGREDIENTS
juice from 2 lemons 2 tablespoons of honey 5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil 1 pound heirloom tomatoes, cut into wedges 1 ripe nectarine, cut into wedges 1 ripe plum, cut into wedges 1 ripe plout, cut into wedges 8 ounces of burrata cheese handful of basil leaves, chopped salt and pepper |
PREPARATION
1. whisk together lemon juice, honey, pepper and olive oil until well combined. set aside.
2. in a bowl toss tomatoes and fruit and season with salt. divide the burrata around the plate and top the salad with the vinaigrette and garnish with basil. serve immediately
