as i mentioned before, tartine bakery is one of my favorite spots – i am quite certain that i made my friend walk to tartine from hayes valley every single day i was there, literally. so i’ve been wanting to try bar tartine for some time, of course my schedule was jammed packed with a full eatinerary (i swear i never get hungry when i travel because i am always stuffing my face!). i wanted to try their dinner, but unfortunately we couldn’t make it happen this time so we stopped by for a quick ‘snack’ around lunch time.
their sandwich shop is open wednesday – friday from 11am – 3pm. there are three to four sandwiches to choose from and a few desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth too. we ordered the vietnamese chicken salad sandwich with the curried cauliflower. the chicken on the sandwich was really flavorful, juicy and tender and curried cauliflower was tasty but i wanted more! hope to try out their dinner next time i am there. have you dined at bar tartine? what is your favorite dish?
