wooh! i had a short 36 hour trip to NYC last week to preview the target fall home collection, i can’t wait to share those images with you but you’ll have to wait for that. i usually make it out to nyc once a year – it’s not somewhere i could ever find myself living in but i love visiting. there are so many things to see, places to eat and faces to visit, here are some of the places i checked out while i was there.
- doughnut plant i absolutely love this place, i went with the intentions of just getting two but i walked away from the counter with four! they are all simply so delicious – but this time i think creme brulee was my favorite.
- moma for anyone who appreciates art and design, no trip to nyc is complete without a trip to moma. they currently have an amazing exhibit called the rain room where a field of raining water pauses when it detects you underneath, so no umbrella needed!
- ovest pizza lunch time in chelsea – my friend lauren and i ordered the rugetta salad and the arugola pizza.
- highline park while in chelsea must take a walk down highline park – enjoy the view and weather from this beautiful urban park.
- story after strolling though highline park i stopped by story – a retail store front that completely transforms itself every 4-8 weeks based on a new theme. it’s currently featuring design!
- best made co. i’ve been a fan of best made company’s online store for a long time and coincidentally they opened their first brick and mortar store just in time for my visit.
- prada the prada store in soho is like a little museum – everything is beautifully displayed like works of art. lucky for me they were featuring clothing from the great gatsby movie, the collection is gone now but the store is still an amazing site!
- save khaki don’t you love the name? it totally made me giggle. mainly mens clothing but they also carried some apothecary goods too.
- nam pang ordered the five spiced glazed pork belly, yum!
- culture expresso flat white on the go – kept me going for my 2nd day in nyc
- the meatball shop lunch with my friend jerry at the meatball shop – we ordered a few different things including, chicken meatballs on top of spaghetti, chili relleno meatball with tomatillo sauce, and the pork meatball kitchen sink with family jewels. a very pleasant and comforting meal.
- popbar while gelato on a stick sounded really amazing i was looking for something a little more light and refreshing so i opted with the strawberry sorbetto pop dipped in chocolate.
