one of the my favorite highlights from the weekend was getting brunch at whisknladle in la jolla. we sat out on the patio – and the day was absolutely perfect. we shared the porchetta + egg tartine and the ricatta lemon meyer w/blueberry pancakes. the porchetta was perfect and one of my favorite dishes from the entire weekend – a savory open faced french toast with hint of maple syrup. the pancakes were also delightful not too sweet as some may think – they were both the best brunch duo. the service was one of the best i’ve had in a while (ask for colin!) – i would definitely recommend it for anyone who is in the area.
